Thursday 18 April

The Basement
8pm to 12.30am: A Refuge Arms pub rave with Steve Davis & Kavus
A free-entry pub rave in our basement with snooker legend now incredible musical selector, Steve Davis and his disc jockey A1 wingman Kavus!

5pm till late: Dr Sid presents Honey Cooler
Dr Sid plays his selection of big band, jump blues, jukebox mambo, swing, jumping jive and more… Feel free to come and do the lindy hop!

Friday 19 April

Well-being & mindfulness at The Refuge
A day of well-being and mindfulness activities designed to make you unwind and relax within the confines on The Refuge. Gong baths, reggae yoga, raw baking workshop and much more.

The Basement
11am to 12 noon: Heart Rhythms with Mat Pickles
A mixture of group drumming and Kundalini yoga starting off by using tabla (Indian percussion) and learning the basics of the djembe drum.

12.30-1.30pm: Gong bath relaxation & meditation with Jane Blackburn, class one of two.
A unique type of sound practice that involves using therapeutic gong sounds and vibrations to bring about healing and non-judgmental appreciation of the present moment.

2.30-4pm: Yin & Tonic Yoga with Eirian from Cariad Yoga
Let go of the working week – reset and refresh! Nourishing Yin Yoga followed by a cheeky G&T or soft drink.

The Den
11am to 12.30pm: Reggae yoga with Eirian from Cariad Yoga
Vinyasa flow to a reggae rhythm, celebrating music and movement, and creating positive vibrations!

2-3.30pm: Raw baking with Raw Bake Station Ltd
Join Evie, founder of Raw Bake Station Ltd, for a 90-minute hands-on raw baking workshop where you will learn how to treat yourself the guilt-free way, by making sweet treats without gluten, dairy, wheat and refined sugar.

In the evening
10pm to 4am: Zutekh presents A Love From Outer Space
Intergalactic acid house and chugging techno from Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston in The Refuge Basement.

Saturday 20 April

From 1pm: The Hallé Singing Meet Up in The Refuge Basement
Come and join in a free singing session with Hallé Choral Conductors, Michelle Robinson and Matthew Roughley where you will pick up tips on how to use your voice and learn songs that will be performed at the end of the meet alongside the Hallé Ancoats Community Choir.

Sunday 21 April

From 10am: Bluedot Festival Takeover
We are pleased to collaborate with the minds at Bluedot Festival and Our Kids Social for a second year to curate a day of children activities, intergalactic entertainment, face painting, space talk, Easter egg hunting, print workshop, circus skills and more. Free to enter.

12 noon to 5pm: Vintage clothing & vinyl market in The Refuge Basement
Treasures and dusty digs for all the fashion and music lovers to be bought from stalls and offerings from the likes of Suzy Loves Milo, Dave Fowell aka Lord Chester, Basement Wax, Neil Diablo, Tom Lyn, Paul Thornton, Dig Deep Records, 89 Vintage Clothing, Andy Newens, Irfan Rainy, Chris Crates, Dirty Disco Vintage, Rotation and more!

DJ sets in The Public Bar in the afternoon will come from A Certain Ratio, Graham Massey, Katbrownsugar, Hughsey aka Paul Hughes and Clarkey aka Clampdown Records.

Things to note

Due to the space available we’d ask if all parents bring a baby carrier or sling rather than prams.
There will be photography taking place on the Sunday. Please make it known to the photographer if you are not happy with you/your child being photographed.
It is the responsibility of parents to stay with their children at all times. Baby changing facilities available.
