We are committed to the code of best practice on service charges, tips, gratuities and cover charges.
All cash tips go to the staff. This restaurant adds a discretionary 10% service charge to all bills. This policy also covers tips left on credit card, and gratuities added to room charge bills.
The revenue that is raised in the restaurant & bar fund, is distributed only within The Refuge by Volta, with no administration, deductions or charges and is shared by system decided by an employee vote that was held in June 2018.
Non-operational management receive no share.
INTERNAL SPLIT INFORMATION
The fund is split as follows:
– 50% goes directly to the person who served the table/guest
– 50% is then evenly split across the bar, kitchen, hosts & runners, based on the number of hours worked per person.
