The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is in its ninth year and is a globally recognised competition dedicated to the design of food and drink spaces. This covers every imaginable space, from ships to airports, museums to burger vans, and from revered Michelin-starred dining rooms to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups, so we’re delighted that The Refuge by Volta has been shortlisted for such a prestigious award.

The Refuge was designed by Michaelis Boyd, a design-led architectural practice with a uniquely creative approach who worked closely with us to develop our spaces.

The Awards attract the world’s top designers, hospitality operators and judges from the UK and all over the world. Recent judges include Zaha Hadid, Kengo Kuma, Foster & Partners, Stephen Alden, Gordon Ramsay, Tony Chambers (Editor in Chief, Wallpaper*), Alberto Alessi and Thomas Heatherwick. The awards ceremony will be held in London’s King’s Cross on 5 October 2017 and we can’t wait to find out if we’ve won.
