Tempo Ninth birthday
Tempo is back on 14 March for a very special night; celebrating their ninth birthday with an unbelievable line-up at The Refuge.
Tempo-NuDeep—run by DJ Dave Law—aims to bring his passion for house music to the dance floors of London, Manchester and beyond. After nine years of success, Tempo is back in Manchester and ready to party with special guests, including Terry Hunter, Bobby and Steve, the queen of house Barbara Tucker and residents Dave Law and Raj Acquilla.
Born and raised in Chicago, Terry Hunter is an icon of the house music industry. Well-known for producing dance hits for his T’s Box record label, he’s also remixed classic tracks for world renowned artists such as Michael Jackson, Twista, Mary J. Blige and more.
Acclaimed DJs, pioneering promoters, long-running radio presenters, record producers and business partners in the iconic Groove Odyssey brand, Bobby and Steve will be spinning the very best of soulful house and disco. Two of the most respected names in dance music for over thirty-five years, they’ve DJed around the world and worked with some of the biggest names in music.
Celebrating her birthday on the 14th is none other than the legend, Barbara Tucker. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Barbara is a house and soul singer, songwriter and choreographer, having six number one hits in the US throughout the 1990s and 2000s, as well as several hits in the UK. Working alongside production team, Masters at Work, she has created dance classics such as “Deep Inside”, “Beautiful People”, “I Get Lifted” and more. She’s also worked alongside David Guetta, Blaze, George Clinton and Deee-Lite.
