Fondue winter chalet menu

Manchester, the Christmas tree is up and the elves have been working their festive magic on our outdoor terrace…

Leave your skis in the Alps because all you need is a group of your favourite mates and all the festive feels at Fondue – our fully heated and covered, winter haven terrace takeover, inspired by après ski. Cosy up and enjoy winter classics such as our Champagne fondue to share, decadent hot chocolates, hot toddies and lots (and lots) of Champagne.

In typical Refuge fashion, the Fondue terrace will have a series of DJ sets ‘Chalet Sounds’ taking place from November all the way into February.

Our menu is inspired by French Alps chalet favourites, with nods to local North West produce. Expect classics including traditional French onion soup (slow cooked over 12 hours); the ultimate Gruyère and Champagne fondue (meant for sharing and complemented by baked pretzels, heritage radishes and purple sprouting broccoli); and a Manchester rarebit, featuring Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire cheese, Bury black pudding, dukkah and Pollen bakery sourdough.

Courtesy of Moët & Chandon, the drinks menu is full of sparkle with a choice of Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut, Rosé and Ice Champagnes, all available by the glass or bottle. Our Refuge team have also curated a special winter cocktail menu with the help of Moët & Chandon – all named after cultural icons, including Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn and Aretha Franklin. Prefer the simple things in life? Sip on a selection of wines, beers and alcohol-free options.

Not forgetting the little ones at this magical time of the year, Fondue will feature a build-your-own hot chocolate bar, specifically designed so children can place their own orders. Extras include whipped vanilla cream, fudge pieces, grated chocolate, marshmallows and salted caramel, while adults can also add cognac or whisky to their hot chocolate for an extra winter-warming treat.

Join us and enjoy all the festive feels, twinkling lights, snug blankets, and, of course, food and drink that are an absolute must during our favourite season!
