Refuge Christmas Carol

Christmas Carol Programme 2020

We’re proud to announce the return of our magical Christmas Carol, a month-long celebration with a selection of festive food and drink offerings, along with hand-picked partnerships that’ll encapsulate all that is merry in Manchester.

We’ll be starting the countdown to the season of goodwill from 3 December (subject to government lockdown being lifted, natch) and opening nights will feature The Sunday Boys Choir, accompanied by the fantastic musicians from Manchester String Quartet and a special Christmas Town Hall Crier.

Capturing the spirit of an Edwardian Christmas, Waterhouse Way will be transformed into an undercover, heated snug area. So you can cosy up in the outdoor courtyard, nestled in the heart of a hidden street, complete with Christmas tree and twinkly lights. We’ll also be serving up gourmet British hot dogs à la Christmas markets, and there’ll be buskers singing festive songs, as well as story-telling from Cheddar Gorgeous.

A Refuge Christmas Carol finale comes courtesy of Rob Lamberti on Wednesday 23 December, who’ll perform his tribute show in celebration of the songs and music of George Michael. Obviously, it’ll include the world’s favourite Christmas tune, Last Christmas.

The Dining Room will also be serving up a festive feasting menu – head over to the menu page to check it out.
