Spaces

With 10,000 sq ft we’ve got a lot of space – find out more about each area below.

Dining Room

The Volta DNA runs through our Dining Room menus, with small plates and sharing dishes featuring flavours from all over the world, including Lamb shawarma, Wild bass ceviche, and Slow-cooked ox cheek with fried egg and Sriracha.

In a hurry? Then drop in for our People’s Lunch – a big hearty bowl of amazing soul food for £7.50.

Don’t be disappointed – as our Dining Room is proving hugely popular, it’s best to make a reservation for evening and weekend tables.

Public Bar

Stay all day in our Public Bar. Feel free to stop by with your laptop and grab a coffee, have pre-dinner drinks before heading into the Dining Room or prop up the bar all night long.

We have an eclectic wine list (with a few special bottles hidden away), local (and not-so-local) craft beers including our very own Volta Session Pale Ale, and an extensive cocktail list (but we can do the classics too – just ask).

Our specialist tea comes from The Rare Tea Co. (but we also do a builders’ tea) and our coffee is roasted in Manchester by Heart & Graft. Juices are provided by the guys at B. Fresh.

Winter Garden

At the heart of our venue is the Winter Garden, where we’ve brought the outside in. Join us in the evenings for elegant cocktails – we specialise in martinis, spritz and gin & tonics.

Afternoon tea coming soon.

Den

A great spot for parties, the Den can accommodate 60-80 people, with an option to break out onto The Street for larger events. Play videos on the big screen or have a game of foosball or snooker – our snooker table also transforms into a dining station, where you can dive into sharing platters and snacks from the Dining Room menu. The private bar also means there’s no need to queue for drinks.

Private Dining

A beautiful space just next to the Dining Room, it’s the perfect place to host a small celebration or private meeting. Seating eight to ten and offering a set menu, the glass wall means you’re still connected to the atmosphere in the Dining Room.
